Job Type: Part-time Workdays: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.  Additional hours dependent on private and special events.

The Historic Bishop House Manager position for the Cadoma Foundation is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about preserving and sharing history.

 

Job Description:  The Historic House Manager supports the mission and vision of the Cadoma Foundation by directing efforts to develop and integrate the Historic Bishop Home into the community as a premier historical site and preservation project.  This position is part-time.  Work hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.   Additional time will be added for private and special events.  The position assists the Cadoma Foundation Board with house management and organizational development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Tour Guide and oversight of Historic Bishop Home and Grounds
    • Ensure the Home and Grounds are staged and presentable for tours
    • Expand and coordinate the Historic Bishop Home volunteer program.
    • Conduct administrative duties timely and accurately as specified by the Cadoma Foundation Board.
  • Coordinate Historic Bishop Home public and private events.
  • Collaborate with other community organizations for the development of the Home.
  • Maintain and enhance the home’s social and media presence.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities including the research and writing of grants.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is Interested in learning and sharing the history of the Historic Bishop Home, Casper, and Natrona County.  The person must be mature, enthusiastic, and able to work with a multi-age public. Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent work-related experience is desirable.

 

Additional desirable qualifications are:

  • Self-starter and desire to work independently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Leadership and ability to implement creative ideas.
  • Knowledge of historic resources and relevant programs.
  • Strong ethical and professional skills.
  • Writing and research skills.
  • Basic bookkeeping and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software; Facebook and Instagram.
  • Must pass a security background check and blood test
