The Child Development Center of Natrona County (CDC) is currently seeking a caring and energetic IT Specialist/Network Administrator to join our team beginning immediately. The CDC exists to provide premiere, family-focused, developmentally appropriate services for children, from newborn to age twenty—one. This is a full-time exempt position, working 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, starting at $45-$47/hour calculated to an annual salary based on days worked. CDC employees are eligible for a full suite of benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement. We offer PTO and a supreme schedule working 198 days on the school year calendar.

The CDC’s IT Specialist/Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining computer networks, hardware, and software. Performs complex professional work installing and supporting network servers, including operating systems and application software. Installs and supports personal computers, network operations, phone systems, problem solving and training for end users, and ensures systems efficiency and integrity. This position provides courteous and responsive technical support, ensuring all staff and management receive clear and empathetic assistance. The position reports to the CDC Director of Finance.

Education & Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology is required. Experience in public or business administration, nonprofit management, or similar fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving skills, organizational and computer skills, as well as the ability to exercise professional discretion and discernment, independent judgment, and excellent customer service are required.
  • Responsible for exceptional skills, sound judgment, and discretion when working with contractors, vendors, and all staff and management.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MAC, and Google platforms required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of an extensive background check and drug screening.
