Position: Operations Director, Wyoming Arts Alliance
Reports to: Wyoming Arts Alliance Board
Location: Remote position with travel required
Summary: The Wyoming Arts Alliance is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization that serves as the unifying voice for the arts in Wyoming. We inform, empower and mobilize Wyomingites who cultivate, support, and advance the arts, and work closely with art educators, individual artists, and non profit and for-profit organizations in the creative economy. WyAA seeks an Operations Director to manage membership, donor relations and internal operations.
The Operations Director will provide critical support to drive membership development, cultivate donor support and develop fundraising campaigns and events. This role will also be responsible for managing communications with stakeholders through newsletters, email campaigns, social media and the organization’s website. Lastly, the operations director will provide key support for the WyAA Board and its work to achieve the identified outcomes from the recent State of the Creative Sector Report, including the development of a Task Force charged with creating a strategic plan with policy recommendations and a vision for Wyoming’s creative economy.

Education/Experience
3-5 years experience with nonprofit organizations, advocacy, administration or related field
A bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation:
Annual Salary: $45,000
30 hours a week; estimated 20 - 25% travel

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Operations:
Manage process for new member recruiting
Support logistics and preparation of materials for board meetings
Support occasional fundraising events or campaigns
Improve and maintain processes related to fundraising such as EveryAction software and donor communications templates.
Oversee annual WyoGives campaign with Wyoming Nonprofit Network
Work with WyAA Board to submit grants and partnership agreements to sustain financial support
Work with WyAA Board to coordinate the development of a statewide task force charged with creating a strategic plan with policy recommendations and a vision for Wyoming’s creative economy.
Recruit, hire and supervise WyAA interns who can assist with communications and event planning.
Work with WyAA Exectuive Board to manage and monitor organizational finances.
Communications:
Managing WyAA social media, e-newsletters, and website for general communications and specific advocacy campaigns
Manage regular WyAA email communications
Events:
Leading logistics for events such as Arts and Culture Day at the Wyoming State Capitol.
Working with the Wyoming Arts Council team to coordinate monthly Online Arts and Culture professional development series
Additional responsibilities as directed by Wyoming Arts Alliance Board
