About Us

Friends of Medicine Lodge State Park is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Medicine Lodge State Park in Hyattville, Wyoming. We engage our community and visitors in protecting the park’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational opportunities.

We are looking to diversify our funding sources by launching an online store for park supporters, visitors, and social media followers. This store will sell branded and themed merchandise through a drop-shipping model (no physical inventory).

Position Summary

We seek an experienced E-Commerce Store Developer to design, launch, and optimize an online store for Friends of Medicine Lodge State Park. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Non-Profit Shopify (or similar platforms), experience in setting up drop-shipping operations, and a creative eye for building engaging, user-friendly shopping experiences.

This is a short-term contract position with potential for ongoing support after launch.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend the best e-commerce platform for our needs
  • Design and configure the online store, including layout, branding, and navigation
  • Set up drop-shipping integrations with vendors and suppliers
  • Develop product listings
  • Implement secure payment processing and order management
  • Ensure mobile-friendly, accessible, and user-friendly design
  • Provide training and documentation for our nonprofit team to manage the store after launch
  • Recommend marketing strategies (basic SEO, social media integration, email sign-up)
  • Troubleshoot and provide post-launch support (optional/additional).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience setting up and launching non-profit online stores (portfolio required).
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Experience with drop-shipping integrations and fulfillment.
  • Graphic design and branding skills a plus but not necessary
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Deliverables

  • Fully functioning online store with initial product catalog.
  • Documentation/training for nonprofit staff.
  • Recommendations for ongoing maintenance and marketing.

Contract Terms

  • This is a contract role estimated at 20–40 hours total for store setup (to be confirmed after scoping).
  • Flexible schedule; remote work.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience; please include your hourly rate or project fee in your proposal.
