Bookkeeper/Payroll Spcialist 
Full Time, 40 hours per week
This position reports directly to the WYCRP Executive Director

Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist Job Responsibilities:
● Achieves financial objectives by implementing the annual budget, scheduling
expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
● Processes all accounts payable and accounts receivable.
● Processes all grant billing on a semi-monthly or monthly basis.
● Assists with grant applications.
● Prepares financial statements, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
● Prepares 1099s yearly.
● Works with CPA to ensure all data is compiled for filing the yearly 990.
● Files annual report with the Secretary of State yearly.
● Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely
and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits,
garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
● Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires,
terminations, and changes to pay rates.
● Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
● Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
and best practices.
● Provides records and documentation to auditors.
● Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and
procedures.
● Processes 940 and 941 tax payments.
● Processes quarterly payments to the Wyoming Department of Workforce
Services.
● Processes yearly W-2s.
● Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures,
correspondence, and filing systems.
● Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection,
retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
● Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts,
and recommending equipment procurement.
● In collaboration with the Executive Director, drafts office policies by establishing
standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making
necessary adjustments. This includes regular updates of the WYCRP Personnel
and Financial policies.

● Keeps leadership informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports,
summarizing information, and identifying trends.

Office/Payroll Manager Qualifications / Skills:

● Extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing,
internal control, and payroll taxes.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Proficient with payroll and other related software.
● Understands and has practice in inventory control, managing processes and
promoting process improvement, tracking budget expenses, developing and
implementing standards, and reporting and informing leadership.
● Assist other staff or with tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
● Associate Degree in Accounting, or a related field.
● Two to four years’ experience in an office setting.
● Proficient with office software, including specifically QuickBooks, Google Suite,
and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary: $47,000.00 to $50,000.00
