Founded in 1999, I-REACH 2, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, self-directed lives. Through our Community Living, Supported Employment, and Community Integration programs, we provide 24/7 support to help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and actively participate in their communities. With national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), strong community partnerships, and a highly committed staff, I-REACH 2 continues to be a leader in disability services across Wyoming.

Position Summary

The Deputy Director is a visible and strategic leader who partners closely with the Executive Director to advance the mission and vision of I-REACH 2. This role requires a dynamic professional who thrives on community engagement, advocacy, fundraising, and organizational leadership. The Deputy Director will be instrumental in strengthening external relationships, supporting donor development, and ensuring program excellence while preparing to serve as a potential successor to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership

  • Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to shape and execute the strategic vision of I-REACH 2.
  • Lead, motivate, and support program managers and administrative staff to ensure strong performance and professional growth.
  • Serve as Acting Executive Director when delegated, providing continuity of leadership.

External Relations & Advocacy

  • Represent I-REACH 2 in the community, with government agencies, advocacy coalitions, and at statewide forums.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, donors, and corporate and community partners.
  • Engage with policymakers and stakeholders to advocate for sustainable funding and policies that support people with developmental disabilities.

Fundraising & Resource Development

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and development team to secure grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic support.
  • Play an active role in donor stewardship, cultivation, and recognition efforts.
  • Support planning and execution of fundraising events such as the annual I-REACH for Art fundraiser.

Program Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure program delivery aligns with CARF accreditation standards, Medicaid HCBS waiver requirements, and organizational goals.
  • Monitor program outcomes and performance indicators to ensure service effectiveness, efficiency, access, and satisfaction.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance quality improvement, risk management, and compliance.

Administrative & Financial Support

  • Assist with budget development, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to organizational sustainability through strategic planning and innovative solutions.
  • Support human resources processes, including recruitment, retention, and workforce recognition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, human services, or disability services management.
  • Proven track record in fundraising, donor development, and community engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid HCBS waivers, accreditation standards (CARF or equivalent), and disability service systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
