About the Work

In joining our team as a Guardian, you will have a unique opportunity to directly make a difference in the lives of our clients by connecting with them and making life decisions for whom WGC serves as guardian while keeping with the National Guardianship Association (NGA) Standards of Practice and Ethical Guidelines and Wyoming Statute.

This position is a remote working position in the general Cheyenne area. You have the autonomy and ability to work from your home office and commute to the office and visit or work as needed in a shared touchdown space. WGC will provide computer, cell phone, ipad and office suppplies.

A Day in the Life:

  • Be the clients advocate by communicating and collaborating with the clients family members, providers, cases managers, therapist or any other care giver that work with the client to ensure that their care is the least restrictive and complies with Wyoming law and NGA standards.
  • Visit with your clients on a monthly basis either on site or via virtually as well as attend plan of care or treatment team meetings via in person or remotely.
  • Document interactions and billable time with your client or any of their providers/team in WGC's database and provide documentation to WGC to ensure timely semi-annual court reporting.
  • Collaborate as a team and under the guidance of the Director of Life Management Services

You’re a great Match for this Role if:

· You have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field

· You have at least one year of experience working with people who have mental illness, developmental disability, substance abuse disorder, brain injury, and/or dementia

· You are willing to become a Nationally Certified Guardian

· You’re organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

· You’re known for clear, complete and professional communication – both written and verbal.

· You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and virtual software programs such as Zoom.

· If you are selected, you are required to submit to a background investigation.
