JOB DESCRIPTION
The Scholarship Director is a full-time position and reports to the Executive Director to ensure the Teton County Scholarship Program (TCSP) operates effectively. Responsibilities include: annual application cycle management, award management/disbursements, TCSP donor relations/communications and account management, PR and marketing as related to TCSP, and manages the annual scholarship night celebration.

Founded in 2007, the Fund for Public Education (FPE) raises funds and provides resources for whole-child wellness, educational equity, academic opportunities, leadership development, and district capacity in Teton County WY’s public schools.
ABOUT THE TETON COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
The Fund for Public Education co-administers the Teton County Scholarship Program with the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, in partnership with Teton County School District #1 (TCSD#1). The program manages more than 75 local scholarships supported by 60+ community donors. Each year, over $1,200,000 is awarded to approximately 150 graduating seniors, primarily from Teton County, Wyoming.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Scholarship Director works with TCSD#1 and community partners to ensure success for over 150 scholarship applicants and more than 50 donors. The Scholarship Director will oversee all aspects of the scholarship program as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include:
Program Development and Management
Steward existing scholarships and associated donors while growing the program. Collaborates with the Director of Development and the Executive Director to increase equity and outreach. Represents TCSP at all donor-relevant events.
Protects students' best interests and balances donors’ needs. Works with partners to maximize the impact of TCSP. Maximize student participation and success through a positive application experience
Develops relationships with students to support and guide them through the application and award process.
Maintains accurate financial records. Creates an annual account report. Ensures donor accounts are up to date and accurate. Provide regular updates on the impact of scholarships to donors.
Track scholarship activity, analyze data, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong leadership and management skills.
Have at least 3 years of experience in the administration of complex programs. Ability to learn scholarship and donor software, and manage databases.
Be friendly and professional with excellent communication and diplomacy skills, including public speaking.
Be happy working in a collaborative environment
Be able to work respectfully with diverse stakeholders who have different needs and timelines
Be punctual, organized, and able to complete work on a deadline
Be able to accommodate occasional weekend or evening events and a workload that varies throughout the yearly TCSP cycle
Have a passion for education and student development
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Familiarity with Excel, G-Suite/Google Workspace, and/or Adobe Acrobat
