About Us
The Iris Clubhouse is a nonprofit mental health organization in Natrona County dedicated to helping adults living with mental illness lead productive, meaningful lives. We follow the evidence-based Clubhouse International model, providing a supportive, recovery-focused environment for our members. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization.

Position Summary
The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of organizational operations, including program development, staff supervision, fundraising, financial management, and community engagement. This person will serve as the face of the organization and work closely with our Board of Directors to ensure long-term sustainability and success.

Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership & Management

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse, including supervision and development of staff.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and recovery-centered culture for members and staff.

  • Oversee hiring, training, and evaluation of staff in accordance with Clubhouse Standards.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality programming aligned with the Iris Clubhouse mission.

Board Collaboration

  • Serve as a non-voting liaison to the Board of Directors.

  • Prepare board agendas and reports; support board-led initiatives and policy development.

  • Partner with the Board to develop and monitor the annual budget.

Fundraising & Financial Oversight

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support operations and future growth.

  • Secure diverse funding sources including government grants, private foundations, and donors.

  • Oversee financial planning and reporting, with support from the board’s finance committee.

Community Outreach & Advocacy

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the Iris Clubhouse in the community.

  • Cultivate partnerships with community agencies, donors, and stakeholders.

  • Promote public education and awareness to reduce stigma around mental illness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a mental health-related field (social work, psychology, public health, etc.)

  • At least 3 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, mental health services, or related work.

  • Demonstrated commitment to recovery and empowerment for individuals living with mental illness.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience managing staff, budgets, and programs.

  • Familiarity with fundraising, donor relations, and nonprofit financial management is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive members in a van.

  • Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and kneel as needed during events and programming.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $50,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience
