Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator

David Street Station is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to strengthen our community and its visitors by offering a vibrant gathering place that hosts a wide variety of events and activities.

Position Overview:
David Street Station is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator to join our team. This role focuses on securing financial support through sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement, while also assisting with event coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, and experienced in fundraising, donor relations, and sponsorship management.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Sponsorship:

  • Identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorships and funding opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, donors, and corporate partners.
  • Manage sponsorship inquiries, meetings, and agreements.
  • Create compelling sponsorship packages and fundraising proposals.
  • Execute fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and donor outreach.
  • Track and manage donor contributions, ensuring proper acknowledgment and reporting.
  • Develop sponsor-related content and post-event recaps to demonstrate impact and encourage continued support.
  • Organize fundraising events and initiatives to drive donor engagement and financial contributions.

Event Support & Logistics:

  • Assist with planning and executing fundraising events, sponsorship activations, and donor appreciation activities.
  • Be present at major events to oversee sponsorship fulfillment and donor engagement.
  • Help set up and take down event infrastructure such as sponsor booths, banners, and signage.
  • Coordinate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Capture event content for sponsor recaps and future promotional use.

Marketing & Communications (as related to fundraising & sponsorships):

  • Develop marketing materials to support sponsorship outreach and donor engagement.
  • Write press releases, sponsor updates, and fundraising-related content.
  • Utilize digital tools to promote fundraising initiatives and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Track engagement metrics related to fundraising campaigns and sponsorships.

Tools & Platforms Used:

  • CRM and donor management tools, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Dropbox, WordPress, Google Docs, and Microsoft Suite.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or 3-5 years’ experience in related field.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, sponsorship recruitment, grant writing and donor stewardship is a plus.
  • The ability to communicate and build relationships in a professional setting.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, meet fundraising goals, and work under deadlines.
  • During the fundraising and event season more than 40 hours per week will be required.

Compensation:

  • Full time position with starting Salary of $40,000-$50,000 dependent on experience.
