POSITION: Outpatient Clinical Therapist

SUPERVISOR: Director of Clinical Services

**HIRING BONUS** - $5000

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or similar licensing, or the ability to be licensed in Wyoming to provide therapeutic services. One year of experience providing services to youth and their families. Experience working with crisis interventions. Demonstrated experience with providing and developing programs, successful problem solving, providing clinical services, and collaborating with a team. Candidates with a provisional will be considered for the position. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass extensive background check.

COMPENSATION:

  • Therapists will be paid a competitive salary based on education, experience, and availability.
  • Non-traditional work hours could be considered.

KEY JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build and establish clientele through attendance at meetings and follow-up with YCC team (crisis shelter, group home, day resource), visits and collaboration with external agencies, community presentations, and networking.

2. Maintain at least 20-25 clinical hours for weekly treatment (individual, family or group services)

3. Assist with therapeutic/psychoeducation groups (1-3 groups monthly, depending on availability/need).

4. Provide Addiction Severity Index (ASI) assessments to youth who request it or are referred through the correctional system.

5. Provide and receive clinical and multidisciplinary guidance and support through involvement in YCC Case Management team.

6. Participate in clinical supervision as indicated by the Wyoming Mental Health Licensing Board. Provisional clinicians are responsible for tracking clinical time as indicated by the Wyoming Mental Health Licensing Board.

7. Provide documentation and treatment planning according to CMS standards.

8. Assist in the development and delivery of clinical services as needed with YCC programs.

9. Attend any applicable community-based meetings.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

1. Knowledge of adolescent development.

2. Working knowledge of community resources for juveniles and families.

3. Possess knowledge of Wyoming juvenile statutes, confidentiality, custody, health codes, licensing, certification requirements, safety procedures, etc.

4. Work collaboratively within the clinical Team to provide guidance, participate in problem solving, evaluate and improve agency practice standards, communicate collectively, and coordinate services to youth, families, and staff.

5. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or Lead Clinical Therapist.
