Position Purpose
Provides staff supervision, monitors student succession and
community outreach. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the School Districts, Police Department, Department of Health,
Community Agencies and Wellness Centers to provide shelter and maximize use of
available USI resources. This includes close collaboration with School District’s
homeless liaison.
2. Participates and coordinates volunteers for all fundraising events.
3. Secure support for the Unaccompanied Students Initiative from Businesses,
Service Agencies, Faith Communities, Foundations, Civic Organizations, Government,
and the General Public. Guide volunteers through assigned duties and schedule
supervision.
4. Maintain files of all pertinent student USI documents. This will include, but is not limited to,
Student policies, procedures, student documents, strategic plans,
meeting minutes, donor lists.
5. Track students’ intake and progress through the following: graduation requirements/date,
school attendance, drivers permit and courses, job applications, career/college
readiness, military through documentation.
6. Collaborate with the Executive Director and USI staff to plan, implement, and coordinate
effective multi-year strategies and plans for major gift prospects, including foundation,
grants, and/or individual donors.
7. Develop and implement strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and
stewardship of donors and prospects through the establishment of long-term
relationships.
8. Manage Staff and conduct yearly evaluations.
9. Create compelling materials for philanthropic activities, such as events, mailings, and
donor visits.
10. Create and distribute a monthly donor stewardship activity report and quarterly
newsletter to USI staff and board.

11. Maintain, update, and improve the USI development plan in coordination with board and
Executive Director.
12. Supervise staff, and coordinate bi-weekly meetings.
Provide follow up reports to Executive Director.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have CPR/First Aid certifications prior to hire or within six months of hire
  • Additional trainings to complete/have include: crisis intervention, blood borne pathogens, boundaries, trauma informed care
  • QPR, crucial conversations, Title IX awareness, and others as assigned
